Gravity (Permanent Mould) Die-Casting
Melbourne Gravity was established over 50 years ago, during which time it has grown producing a wide range of aluminium gravity (permanent mould) diecast components for a wide range of applications, for both national and international markets.

The equipment available includes,
- 20 recently upgraded electric furnaces, both tilting melters and holding furnaces
- 60 gravity die-casting machines of various sizes both tilting and static, providing the flexibility to meet most demands.
- Heat treatment equipment, able to provide heat treatment of aluminium castings to T6
- Fettling equipment includes bandsaws, linishers, drills, sand blasting, and press.
Our die-casting personnel are long term serving employees with many years of experience and an understanding of the requirements of producing a reliable quality casting.
Melbourne Gravity can provide technical support and guidance with designing of tooling, including gating, location of runners and raisers. Which will assist the customer in ensuring that the die works first time, producing the quality castings that are required for the application.
