The wide range of production equipment installed at our Couburg plant enables us to meet all your gravity casting and manufacturing needs. In addition, our extensive toolroom means that we can maintain your tooling to the highest standards.
The foundry has twenty-four aluminium melting furnaces, twenty pouring/production stations, and sixty dies-casting machines.
The fettling shop, equipment includes bandsaws, belt and face linishers, stand drills, a sand blast machine, and a hand press.
Other equipment includes two heat treat furnaces, a quench tank, a trim press, two hot box core blowers, a core spray booth, a water leak test system, several welding booths, and three forklifts.
The toolroom has lathes, universal milling machines, radial and stand drills, tool grind machines, a stand grinder and an hydraulic press.
Sand Castings
Similar to Gravity die-casting , a full range of sand castings can be provided for applications where the volume required is not sufficient to justify the tooling (die) costs.
The vast experience of our personnel is available to advise on design of patterns to ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved in producing the sand casting.
